Who we are

Thin Gold Line Threads started the way a lot of good ideas do — during a long night behind a 911 console, thinking about the things dispatchers hear, the situations we somehow find ourselves in, and the humor that helps us make it through the calls we never forget.

Long before the headset, the radios, and the emergency calls, there was a love for graphic art. What started in high school and continued into college eventually took a different path through careers in firefighting, EMS, and 911 dispatching — but that creative side never really went away. Neither did the love of a great T-shirt.

Today, those two worlds come together here.

These designs are made for the people who answer the call, by someone who has worn the headset and answered it too. They celebrate the strange moments, dark humor, friendships, controlled chaos, and quiet victories that only people in Public Safety Communications truly understand.

Some calls make us laugh. Some stay with us forever. Through both, humor has always been one of the things that keeps people coming back for the next shift.

This is dispatch culture, designed from the other side of the headset.
